Description
“The simplest answer is usually the best answer.”
Most of us don’t carry an extra magazine and know we should, especially with the single-stack sub-compact pistols that dominate concealed carry. If we do carry a spare mag, it’s usually dropped into a pocket and forgotten. Keeping your mag this way leads to a few potential issues: 1) the magazine is open to all the debris of the pocket, debris that can jam a gun when you need it most 2) the top round slips forward so it catches upon reload, 3) the mag isn’t staged for a speed reload and 4) it can fall over and lay longwise across the leg which leads to an awkward bulge and maybe a call to the police.
These issues are all solved quickly and easily by the Mag Cap. It slips over the magazine, covering the rounds, to prevent first round slippage and debris. The flat-bottomed cut of the mag cap also keeps it upright on the innermost edge of the pocket so it won’t fall over and will be properly staged. Upon drawing a mag from the Mag Cap, one simple rakes the back of the magazine on the edge of the pocket, stripping the Mag Cap for the fastest possible reload from the pocket.
The Mag Cap features a tension screw with rubber bushing so it can be adjusted to fit a variety of magazines and the wing sports a small pocket (where I like to keep my Case pocket knife).
