One of our best reviewed products, The Figure 8 is a shoulder holster system that has been designed from scratch using beyond-industry-standard materials. Because of the “original idea” design approach, we’ve built a shoulder rig unlike any other. Shoulder holster tendencies like weight imbalance, neck creep, rigidity, pants hike, sloppiness of wear, unsure draw (we really could go on for a VERY long time here) have been designed out of the rig. Harness: Adjustable on both shoulders and under both arms making it easy to customize gun placement and comfort. The shoulder straps start at 1 1/4″ and taper to 1″. This broadens the weight-bearing line of the strap and disperses pressure over a greater area of the shoulder so you don’t fatigue or feel like you’ve been wearing a back pack. A trapezoidal shape to the connection panel at the base of the neck spreads the shoulder straps and keeps the rig from creeping up on the neck.
Holster: The holster can be ordered to carry vertically or horizontally. It’s form-fitted to the gun and will completely separate the gun from the wearer. A snap retention is used either behind the slide of the gun or around the trigger guard. The connection points where the holster meets the harness are stitched on so no metal comes in to contact with the gun.
Magazine holder: Each figure 8 comes with a dual magazine pouch. The magazine pouch can be ordered as a front deploy (mags come out horizontally at the front of the body) or straight drop (mags fall free into the hand once the snap is released). It features separate closure lids for each magazine and uses the same connection system as the holster.
Belt Keepers: The belt keepers use a leather snap loop to secure to the belt but feature elastic at the connection point with the holster/magazine pouch. The benefit of using elastic over a non-flexible material is that it does well keeping the holster from swinging away from the body but it also prevents pulling up the pants when reaching overhead, no wedgies.
